Comedy Central : The Colbert Report Gets a Website Upgrade

Last week saw the launch of a new and improved website for The Colbert Report.

Among the key improvements are higher-quality, faster-loading videos; simpler navigation to recent episodes; plus better information on past and upcoming guests. And there's more to come. The archive will continue to expand, eventually bringing in clips from every Colbert Report episode back to the very first -- fully tagged, fully searchable and awaiting user comments and ratings. The message boards will undergo an upgrade too, as well as a host of other improvements. Look for many great new features in the coming months.

New Year, New Homepage

Brilliantvisions.com has gotten a facelift for 2008. There you'll find some of the work I've done in the few years which this site was not regularly updated.

A more comprehensive site overhaul should be on it's way in coming months.

Comedy Central : TheDailyShow.com Launches

The official website for The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, thedailyshow.com is the one-stop destination to view the entire history of Comedy Central's award-winning "fake news" program. The entire catalogue of the show is on the site: every headline, every interview, every "Moment of Zen" plus the entirety of last night's episode up for viewing and discussion for free. Users can search the archive and browse by date, keyword, or tag plus utilize a variety of community features to discuss the show, politics or current events. As Salon.com put it:
That the show's on television seems almost incidental now; the Web may come to represent its truest home.

The site is still in Beta, and many new features will be rolled out in the coming weeks and months.

The video embedded here happens to be one of my favorites because I designed the titles and graphics for it. The complete American Cookbook series by Three Hot Tubs can be found here.

Comedy Central : Indecision 2008 Launches

Indecision2008.com is Comedy Central's first standalone website focusing specifically on political humor. The site features new politically-relevant video from The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, The Colbert Report, Comedy Central stand-up and more. The Indecision blog features posts of up-to-the-minute coverage of election happenings and the most ridiculous in campaign news and events. On the home page includes a variety of embeddable widgets featuring at-a-glance campaign factoids, interactive polls and Marching Orders for conservatives and liberals alike, plus downloads such as IM icons and wallpaper.

The site promises funny coverage of the 2008 election, Daily Show and Colbert Report clips, downloads, blog, polls, graphs, puns and poorly PhotoShopped images. According to the official press release:

Indecision2008.com revels in the absurdity of campaign news on a daily basis. Every day, users can watch and discuss new video clips relevant to the 2008 race from the "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart," "The Colbert Report," "Lil' Bush," COMEDY CENTRAL stand-up specials and more. For up-to-the-minute coverage of election happenings, the site's own blogger, "The InDecider," will stir the pot and scour the Web for the most absurd campaign tidbits, ripe for user commentary and contributions.

The Indecision2008.com homepage will also offer a variety of au courant widgets that provide at-a-glance campaign factoids (Number of Google Hits for Candidate Name + 'Polygamy': Mitt Romney = 144,600; Dennis Kucinich = 33,500), interactive polls and handy "Marching Orders" for conservatives and liberals alike (i.e. Today's Conservative Talking Point: Jack Bauer is truly the greatest living American. Today's Liberal Agenda: Just to switch things up, try blaming America second today.) Many of these widgets can be taken and embedded on users own blogs and profile pages.

As the race to the white house heats up, Indecision2008.com will not disappoint.
